Google’s August Core Update: Will it Impact Your Website?

B2B Digital marketing agency Extramile Digital has been awarded a place on The Sunday Times Best Places to Work list for 2024, in the small organisations category. The award coincides with the business’s growth over the last few years, reinforcing the company’s continual focus on developing its people.
This is the first time the Staffordshire-based business has entered the renowned annual awards. This nationwide workplace survey honours and celebrates Britain’s top employers. Some of the award highlights for Extramile Digital included a 100% response rate across all 31 employees and a 91% job satisfaction rate.
The business also scored highly on transparency and information sharing. Similarly, people also felt empowered and trusted to make decisions, and had a strong relationship with management across the business.
“We have prided ourselves on building a culture with people at its heart and have developed a really strong, engaged team of people. Our commitment to our company values remains a key component of continued growth,” states Amanda Brooke, Managing Director of Extramile Digital. “To be featured on this high profile list is incredible validation.”
In response to the survey question, ‘My employer cares about my well-being’, the business achieved a 95% agreement rating across the company. Ensuring employees feel cared for and supported in their mental health is a big part of Extramile Digital’s talent retention strategy.
There were some incredible reactions to hearing the news across the wider team:
“It really is a special place to work, but that’s down to all of us. In recruitment interviews this week, I’ve been asked to explain what makes Extramile Digital different, and ultimately, it’s the people,” said Jene Knight, Head of Digital.
“This amazing news tells me everything I know already. I know I’m appreciated by my team and that the culture has been built to make sure we are all happy and supported in what we do. I feel like it’s rare to look forward to one-to-ones in most workplaces, but I count down the days until mine,” said Carla Crichton, SEO Account Manager.
Extramile Digital is set to continue its strong employee-focused ethos as it embarks on its growth plan over the next five years.
