Firefly: The Next Evolution of Creative AI

Adobe’s powerful creative generative AI platform, Firefly, has levelled up with features designed to unlock even more creative potential. These advancements underscore Adobe’s commitment to empowering creators with innovative AI tools that enhance creativity while ensuring content authenticity and commercial safety.

Firefly Image Models 4 and 4 Ultra

Leading the charge are two new image models:

  • Firefly Model 4: Optimised for speed without sacrificing quality, it’s perfect for everyday creative tasks.
  • Firefly Model 4 Ultra: Focused on photorealistic, high-fidelity outputs – ideal for complex, detail-rich projects.

Both models offer greater control and precision, empowering creators whether they’re designing quick web assets or cinematic visuals.

Firefly Video Model

For the first time, users can generate 1080p, commercially safe video from just a text prompt. Adobe’s Firefly Video Model opens new possibilities for dynamic storytelling and efficient video production.

Firefly Boards (Beta)

It looks like moodboarding got a massive upgrade. Firefly Boards lets teams collaborate visually in real time, making it faster and easier to refine ideas, styles and direction.

Firefly Mobile App

Adobe’s new app means that creators can access tools like Text to Image, Generative Fill, and Generate Video anytime, anywhere.

Third-Party AI Integrations

Adobe is expanding Firefly’s ecosystem with support for models from partners like OpenAI and Google, while maintaining Firefly’s hallmark: commercial safety and content authenticity via Content Credentials.

Raising the Bar on Content Authenticity

The Content Authenticity App

Now in public beta, Adobe’s free Content Authenticity app allows creators to add secure content credentials to their work documenting authorship, edits and AI usage preferences. Importantly, it works for content created inside and outside Adobe’s tools. 

This initiative is part of Adobe’s broader efforts, including the Content Authenticity Initiative (CAI) and the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA), to establish open standards for content attribution and provenance. LinkedIn Identity Verification

Adobe has partnered with LinkedIn, letting verified LinkedIn profiles showcase a “Verified on LinkedIn” badge on Behance and in Content Credentials – a major credibility boost for creators building their personal brand.

Smarter Creative Tools: Meet the AI Agents

Adobe’s AI Agents are designed to handle repetitive tasks so creatives can focus more on ideation and craft.

  • Photoshop: An enhanced Actions Panel learns your workflow patterns and automates common edits.
  • Premiere Pro: Media Intelligence recognises objects in video content, enabling faster edits using simple text prompts.
